Role: Pharmacy Liaison at Mac’s Pharmacy West

How long have you been with Mac’s?
“I’ve been part of the Mac’s Pharmacy family for two years. Every morning, I pick up medications at Mac’s West and deliver them to residents at Trustwell Senior Living.”

What motivated you to enter the pharmacy field, and what do you enjoy most about your position?
“I’ve always considered myself a people person. I genuinely love meeting new individuals and assisting them during challenging times. My passion for caregiving fuels my work as a pharmacy liaison.”

Can you share a memorable experience from your time at our pharmacy?
“One day, while delivering medication to Trustwell, I unexpectedly ran into one of my biggest clients from my previous career as an Interior Designer and Oriental Rug Specialist.She owned a very spacious home, and during that time, we formed a bond over rugs. Now, we’ve entered a new chapter—it’s truly amazing how life unfolds at times.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work? What are your hobbies or interests?
“I moved from Houston, TX, to Knoxville, TN, 22 years ago. I never believed Retirement was healthy, so I stay pretty active. After seeking God’s guidance, I began assisting new residents at Trustwell on weekends. I also started a ministry with St. John Newman Catholic Church for elderly, homebound seniors who can’t get out. I visit nursing homes and assisted living communities, and I feel incredibly blessed to connect with so many people every day. I love them, and they love me in return!”

If you could recommend one product from our pharmacy that everyone should try, what would it be and why?
“I highly recommend the pill packs, or ‘Mac-Packs.’ This is a free service that organizes your medications into packs that are labeled with what’s inside, the date, and the appropriate time to take them. I see so many seniors getting confused with their medications, and Mac’s offers this as a free service. It’s a fantastic time-saver to set up a monthly system and avoid multiple trips to the pharmacy each month for prescriptions.”

Connecting with others and serving God brings me true joy. I feel incredibly blessed to live this very purposeful life that fills me with happiness every single day. ~Lynn Fitzgerald
